Nanaimo Women’s Business Network is really building momentum…. our membership continues to grow and the NWBN executive is striving to book speakers that will make a difference for you and your business and provide a venue and forum for women to network with each other.
Networking can help you do much more than succeed – it can help you become a better, more giving person, a person who makes a real contribution to society and all those around you. When all is said and done, it will not matter what positions you held or how much money you made, but how you treated other people and how they remember you.
Your goal is for people to remember you for the right reasons. You are not just making contacts; you are making real connections and building your reputation.
One of the fun events that we get involved with in our community is the Heart & Stroke Big Bike Ride. We have a lot of fun.
This years event is going to be held at the Rona across from Southgate Mall instead of downtown.
The date is: Thursday June 3rd at 5:00 pm.
The ride takes about 30 minutes – and then we usually go out after and have a little celebration!
This is where we need your support. I have included a link at the bottom to sign up to ride – you can do this on-line and send out e-mails to friends and family to support you. You can send out personalized fund raising e-mails to friends near and far… customize your own individual site with any personal stories or photos and access all the event details.
For your donors who give on-line they can experience an easy way to support Big Bike participants – instantly get a tax receipt and will be recognized on your personal fund raising page!
There are many prizes to be awarded for fund raising – even a chance to win a HD LCD TV and Blue Ray player and discs, plus many more!
One more thing - you can bring a friend to ride – or your child – (must be 14 yrs old) – spouse’s – partners – it’s all good!
Please go to the website and register right away – we need to get going – we are a little late starting this year – but I am certain the women of NWBN will come through with flying colors – the team goal is $5000 – that’s less than $100 per member – I know that everyone can get sponsors to achieve our target!
