Monday, May 30th – NWBN Presentation

How a little graphic design knowledge can save you a chunk of time and money.

When you got a computer and a hundred fonts, did anyone teach you anything about how to use them? How to choose the one to best suit your business? How to mix and match fonts for the most powerful effect?  Designer and writer Sarah J. Clark wants to introduce you to the wonderful world of graphic design – where you can enhance your business image dramatically with some simple and doable design basics.

In this evening presentation, Sarah will show you how learning graphic design basics will actually save you money, time and nerve endings. Just about everything she is going to tell you will cost little or nothing to apply.

Come join Sarah for an evening of fun and learning – she promises you will leave with a set of tools you can use and a newly acquired knowledge you can build on.

Profile of Sarah J Clark

The first thing you might notice about graphic designer and writer Sarah J. Clark, is her passion and excitement about helping people. It is the driving force behind her company, Sarah Clark Design.

Since 1985, Sarah has been helping business owners reach their clients, through innovative design and “word wizardry”. Her clients are very appreciative and aren’t afraid to say so. “You are the word weaving Goddess of my world”, came from fellow designer Reneé Deakin, who has worked with Sarah on co-creating for two clients recently.

After so many years of helping individual clients with their design and writing needs, Sarah has decided to turn her focus in slightly different direction. Instead of helping people one at a time, she is going to teach whole groups of people the basics of graphic design and finding the right words. Her mission: To Save the World from Mediocre Design!

Following her very well received book, Making a Great Impression: how to make your mark in the marketplace, Sarah will teach ordinary individuals the vital elements of design, so that they can improve whatever they are doing – and ultimately have more success reaching their customers.

Along with graphic design, Sarah is passionate about words – so she is putting together a new workshop – Finding Your Unique Writing Voice – to help entrepreneurs uncover the unique story of their business. Again, this is a powerful way to connect to an audience. And yes, her mission also includes Saving the World from Mediocre Writing.
