Your goal is for people to remember you for the right reasons. You are not just making contacts; you are making real connections and building your reputation.

One of the fun events that we get involved with in our community is the Heart & Stroke Big Bike Ride. We have a lot of fun.

Next NWBN Dinner, Dorothy will be sharing about the most exciting health discovery in 100 years. Hear the latest about adult stem cell research and the 2008 Nobel Prize winners’ discovery.

At Christmas 2008 I was anemic, atrophied and depressed. I could barely get up the stairs in my home and I slept 14-20 hrs a day. I tried every traditional and alternative medicine I could think of to bring me out of ‘survival’ mode. My friend offered me 1 bottle of StemEnhance just to see if it could help me? Only every aspect of my life! Just one week on StemEnhance and I felt stronger, pain free and happier. Life was hopeful again and worth living.

If you are less than healthy and happy, continue seeking until you find something that helps. That is what I did… Who knew! Why be well?? … because you can!!! www.ybwell.com

Speaker BIO

KAREN McMULLEN
‘Burn-out Busting Maven’
Certified Life Coach

“The body’s natural state is equilibrium and ease.” You can see this easily with children. They are naturally excited, curious and bounding with energy. Now, if your 5 year-old niece kept pressing the snooze button on the alarm, putting the pillow over her head, dreading wake-up time and came home from kindergarten everyday and crashed out on the couch, you would be concerned, wouldn’t you?

Of course, you would! It’s not normal or healthy to feel drained day-in day-out. And yet, somehow in the professional world, we accept this as the status quo.

If, like many professional women, you feel drained after work and need to caffeinate your way through the day, your body is giving you an important signal. Exhaustion is a sign that you are running on adrenaline and taxing your parasympathetic nervous system. At best, this will make you cranky! At worst, you will compromise your immune system and make yourself sick. Either way, you are on the road to burn-out.

This is where Karen McMullen can help.

A top-notch facilitator with over 8 years of success facilitating personal growth at the world’s leading Outdoor Leadership organization, Outward Bound. Karen now dedicates her time to helping bright and energetic women who feel drained at work to get off the road to burn-out and tap into their innate genius.

A laser-visioned Certified Life Coach with 4 years of success in the world of transformation, Karen has mastered the secrets to creating a career that fulfills your unique calling.

“Karen not only teaches but also embodies inspired, empowered, uninhibited, full-on living. Her spontaneity and excitement for life are infectious.” Larissa Doyle, N.W.T.

Karen had the good fortune to personally apprentice alongside Psychologists in body-centred transformation Katie and Gay Hendricks. This world class mentoring, coupled with her 4 years as a Certified Life Coach, and her personal dedication to living passionately as an outdoor adventurer and watercolour artist, make her one of the true masters in all aspects brilliant living.

An expert in helping professionals move beyond burn-out to access their innate brilliance, Karen uplifts her audiences with her unique blend of crystal clarity and wisdom, honesty and gentleness, and playful sense of self and spirit.

The NWBN meeting on February 22nd will be a “Members Showcase” – an opportunity to get to know our members better!

Here is how the evening will look: members of the NWBN have the opportunity to setup a half-table display around the outside of the room. We will have a buffet dinner as usual, and when the time comes for members to introduce themselves, those who chose to set up a display get to speak for 2 minutes about their business, from their display table.
